On Site Casting

Working with Clifford Restoration Ltd. here is an example of on site casting done for the York Hotel in Calgary. The upper details needed to be saved for reproduction on the new building. We were able to do on site mould casting of details for reproduction before demolition from the old building.

Application of our silicone is done directly to the detail on the structure that needs to be restored, and then a backing case on the silicone is created. After removal from the structure the silicone mould will be held in place by the backing case. This combination provides an exact copy of the original. Back at the shop we can proceed to recreate an original detail.
