Advantages of Polyurethane Faux Wood Beams

Our rustic faux wood beams are designed to accentuate ceilings of rooms, giving a warm rustic look. The rustic beam surface is an exact duplicate from real wood beams capturing all the wood graining, knots and markings. Beams are three sided and closed ended, except for one, allowing them to be installed over existing structures such as smaller “I” beams, plumbing pipes, electrical wire conduit, etc.

Polyurethane is much lighter than most other materials, which allows for ease of handling. It also allows you to include the faux beams with out having to reengineer the substructure of your project.

The rustic faux beams are impervious to moisture; they will never rot or deteriorate in high-humidity. They are resistant to environmental degradation and will not dry out, crack, split or warp as real wood does. They are also resistant to termites and other destructive insects. Our rustic faux beams can be used for internal or external purposes but for external applications, a UV protection must be applied.
